Mythos and Me: Where Stories Inspire Learning

Our Mission

Mythos and Me exists to inspire children to explore important morals and values through the timeless art of mythological storytelling. Myths are more than old tales; they are powerful cultural narratives that teach empathy, honesty, courage, and respect. By presenting these stories in engaging, age-appropriate ways, we help young learners think critically about the lessons they carry into their own lives.

Our Story

This project began as an independent initiative to share a personal passion for myths with younger audiences. It grew out of research into myths and folktales from around the world, focusing first on Greek and Roman classics, and will expand to include a wide range of cultures. Each lesson plan combines storytelling with thought-provoking discussion questions and activities, allowing children to see how these stories connect to their own experiences and the world around them.

Our Values
  • Curiosity Encouraging exploration of different cultures and traditions.
  • Respect Honoring the values and morals each story conveys.
  • Empathy Understanding perspectives through the eyes of mythological characters.
  • Creativity Using storytelling to spark imagination and self-expression.
Looking Ahead

As Mythos and Me grows, we will provide teachers, parents, and caregivers with a library of free, accessible resources, including lesson plans, cultural background notes, and discussion guides. These materials are designed to be easy to adapt for different age groups, making the lessons relevant for both classroom and home learning.
